Government of Jammu and Kashmir flagship social welfare scheme aimed at arresting female foeticide and securing the future of girl children. The UT administration deposits Rs. 1,000 per month into a recurring deposit account for the newborn girl child from birth up to 14 years of age, maturing into a cumulative lump-sum fund of approximately Rs. 6.5 Lakh at 21 years of age for higher education or marriage.

Step-by-Step Registration & Status Check Guide
1Apply online through the Jammu & Kashmir e-Services / Jan Sugam portal at jansugam.jk.gov.in or visit the District Social Welfare Office (DSWO).
2Application forms can also be submitted through Anganwadi Centers or Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) offices.
3Fill in child date of birth, parent details, Tehsildar income certificate particulars, and J&K Bank account credentials.
4Upload self-attested copies of birth certificate, domicile certificate, income certificate, and Aadhaar cards.
5The CDPO and District Social Welfare Officer inspect and sanction the recurring deposit account with J&K Bank.
6Government contributes Rs. 1,000 every month into the girl child's account until she attains 14 years of age.
