Namo Saraswati Vigyan Yojana is a landmark educational scholarship initiative launched by the Government of Gujarat to boost enrollment in higher secondary Science streams (Group A, Group B, and Group AB). The scheme aims to build future talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by providing financial support to meritorious boys and girls from middle and economically weaker sections. Eligible students receive a total scholarship assistance of ₹25,000 over two years: ₹10,000 during Class 11 (distributed as ₹1,000/month for 10 months) and ₹15,000 during Class 12 (₹1,000/month for 10 months plus a ₹5,000 lump-sum cash award upon passing the GSEB Class 12 Board Examination). All funds are deposited directly into the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer.
