Recruitment of PRT, TGT, PGT, and Principals across KVS
Recruitment of Residential Teachers and Wardens
Key examination stages enforced across official conducting commissions:
The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has made the CTET qualifying certificate valid for a lifetime across all Indian states and Union Territories.
PRT (Primary Teacher) teaches Classes 1 to 5 (requires D.El.Ed + CTET Paper 1). TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) teaches Classes 6 to 10 (requires Graduation + B.Ed + CTET Paper 2). PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) teaches Classes 11 and 12 (requires Master's Degree + B.Ed).
Following the Supreme Court ruling, candidates with only B.Ed qualifications are not eligible for Primary Teacher (Classes 1-5) posts unless they hold a recognized Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed / BTC).
